INTERMITTENT FASTING


Worried about when and what to eat to maintain good physique...?

Jealous about how some people do not gain weight despite of eating whatever they want.......?

Confused.......... why very few people who are able to maintain beach body eats at a specific time only.............?

If yes......this article will cover all your questions........by the way, the short answer to all is INTERMITTENT FASTING (IF).
                         

Let me take you back in time.

Our ancestors, 1000 years ago, were living in a jungle and hunting for food. At that time, they had to search for animals to kill for several hours; sometimes, days even. What they were doing back then was, they were feeding themselves whenever they get to eat and for the rest of the time when they were searching for animals to prey on or sitting free.... they were not eating anything .....In other words....they were FASTING.

 In their fasting period, their body was getting energy from the stored fat. So, they were not that obese because as per body’s natural response to store fat for emergency energy expenditure, fat was getting stored but when they were fasting, it was also getting burned out. Remember, their average lifespan was 95 years back then; that means this is something legitimate...

Fun Fact: Less fat in the body means less toxins.....as most of the toxins are stored in fat only. This ultimately means that the INTERMITTENT FASTING routine that this blog post is about to uncover will make you immune to infections.

Let’s go a century back from today...........in an era of our great grandparents....... There was a culture of 3 meals a day only; they were not snacking in-between. And their average lifespan was also around 90-95 years; so which things went wrong in just 100 years that led to decrease in average lifespan and enormous lifestyle diseases-Diabetes Mellitus, Obesity.........?

I know..........I know...........INTERMITTENT FASTING......I am coming to that........bear with me for a moment........!

Whenever we eat sugar level in the blood goes up that will result in secretion of Insulin hormone; so that cells can utilize that glucose. If we eat frequently, Insulin will be released more often.

Fun Fact: Insulin secretion will result in glucose going into cells and will inhibit lipolysis- metabolism of fat.
                                       

As the cells will get overfed because of more insulin, it will result in obesity. Moreover, frequent inhibition of lipolysis will make the person obese by storing unutilized fat .Lastly, if Insulin producing cells- beta cells of pancreas, have to work more to produce the hormone for 30-40 years because the person eats frequently, cells will eventually become weak and will either stop or decrease its Insulin production as the age advances , which is referred to as Diabetes Mellitus.

So...............

What’s the solution???

INTERMITTENT FASTING.....................!

It means eating in a specific time window only and fasting for the rest of the time- feeding and fasting intermittently. There are several ways of doing it-   16: 8 hours in a day or 2:5 days per week of Fasting and feeding.

My personal favourite, which I’m following since 10 years, is 12:12. That means fasting for half of the day and feeding in rest of the time.

It’s not new, we just forgot it. You see, every religions in the world has periods of Fasting, Feeding and, even, Feasting.

So, when you will give it a try? It will not be easy in beginning, but once you make it a lifestyle, you will be amazed by the results..........................
